General Information :- Coriander is a native of the Mediterranean. It  is a herb mentioned in the bible. It was used as a cure for facial spots during the middle ages. Coriander is now a major crop throughout the world. The great Arabian classic 'thousand and one nights' often refers to this spice as an aphrodisiac. Coriander is the dried fruit of an annual herb, with several branches and serrated leaves. The small flowers yield green globular fruits, which turn yellowish brown when ripe. The seeds are picked when the ripening is in progress and is then sun dried.

Coriander is pleasantly aromatic and flavourfull.

Coriander finds extensive use in several kinds of foods, beverages and liquors and perfumes. It is highly valued for its medicinal properties and for its use as a condiment.
